How 4Homes earns trust
Our goal is to help you make a clearer home decision. That means original work, reliable evidence, honest limits, and a bright line between guidance and revenue.

A paint idea is not the same as electrical advice. Safety, insurance, taxes, health, and expensive decisions need official sources and review by someone who knows the work.
If we compare something, we tell you what we considered, what we did not test, and what could change the answer. A commercial link does not get a vote.

Who's behind this
4Homes is published by Better Offers Inc, which has worked with homeowners on financing for 15 years. The homeowner-guidance side of the site (maintenance, repairs, gardens, rooms, and the rest) is written and reviewed independently of that business — the goal is a genuinely useful answer, not a path to a lead form. Where a guide touches money — financing, insurance, major renovation cost — that's exactly where our standards get stricter, not looser, because that's where a bad answer actually costs someone money.
A guide typically starts with a homeowner question, then goes to the primary source that actually governs the answer: a building code, a manufacturer spec, a government program's official rules, or a standards body. We read what other sites say to understand what people are confused about, not to copy their conclusion. Numbers, program eligibility, and safety claims get traced back to where they came from before they go in a draft.
Before anything publishes, a second person reviews it specifically for accuracy — not just grammar. Content involving real risk (electrical, structural, gas lines, large sums of money) gets an additional pass from someone who actually understands that work, and we'd rather delay a guide than publish something we're not confident in. If a fact later turns out to be wrong, outdated, or superseded by a code change or a program ending, we correct the page. We don't leave inaccurate guidance live because it's already ranking.
Corrections and commercial independence
If something does not add up, send us the page and tell us what you found. Mortgage, home-equity, advertising, or future affiliate relationships may help pay for 4Homes, but they will be labeled and do not get to decide the advice.
Want more detail on who runs the site and why financing shows up at all? Read About 4Homes. If a financing page itself looks off, check the mortgage rates page for current sample pricing and assumptions, or the loan programs list for how each program actually works.
